Car Enthusiasts Web Site
Today I met and had lunch with one of the moderators of this site. On the face of it, it appears ostensibly as a commercial site with items for sale etc., one that also allows members access to it’s massive forum content. A lot of car enthusiasts plus lots of prying gardaí. I am informed that the said gardaí were contacted by the site owners; slinking about in the background is never welcome; anywhere. The site owners and the gardaí have reached an accomodation of sorts so the gardaí remain.
Those who would be unfamiliar with how car enthusiast events are sorted and how they are organised should know that it is through sites such as this that fans of everything ‘car based’ and ‘car moderating’ (like this site) locate each other and when to mark a date and location in their diaries.
I believe every human activity should have just such an effort to assist followers and interested newbies. Makes sense to me anyway.

It's a view not so noticable when there is so much more to see around there, but I like that the birds have no compunction about shitting on his head, same as they do everywhere really.
I have been to several places around Europe including Barcelona where I took this photograph.
I am still breathing in and out and as far as I’m aware, circulation is ok. I don’t as a rule bother much with politics, but then I don’t count politicians among my circle of friends. But without an interest in what they get up to what would be the point?
I like boats, money, women, guinness, honesty and good music but not necessarily in that order. I’m sure there’s a life after this one but; that’s my own personal opinion.
I live in Ireland, specifically Limerick; known in some parts as: – And here I have chosen to make a change in what had been written up heretofore. I did not receive a comment from anyone about putting up on this site the nick name attached to my city; and that surprised me.
So I wonder is it accepted now? Is it OK now?

Actually quite happy the cops are keeping an eye on these morons tbh….sorry to tar em all with the one brush but i find the majority give the minority a bad name.I’ve driven the backroads of this country at all hours of the night for a long time now and have seen the activity of these civic drivin dickheads taking the lives of others into their hands. I was once driving back from Killarney and 3 cars came up behind me doing a good 120mph,2 of these cars overtook me at once.I to this day do not know how i didn’t end up in the ditch..I think the Florida solution to this problem was the best …any of these Modified cars were given 2 months to demodify them and if they didn’t they were taken off the road and crushed…not only would it save the lives of these idiots,which isn’t necessarily a good thing but it would save those of the innocent road user too.

I guess being on the road as much as you are, coming across such instances is inevitable. As for the rest and the stuff they do I am not yet fully up to speed but I do take your point, some so called drivers are anything but drivers. That Florida law sounds a bit drastic too!
Actually these activities they advertise usually involve illegal road races….the for sale signs you see on these cars are an advertisement for people to ring each other to arrange a race…..they think it’s a fuckin video game!

I’ve heard that too but I will certainly check with my contact there about that. As far as I’m aware the web site is used these days with meeting information dispersed via the forums. There are many groupings however and I expect to hear something about that.
I’ll follow it up.
